The opening of a 2-week-long programme for international students

This session open to the public is the first day of a 2-week immersive programme for international students working on Smart Cities. For the Master students of EIT Digital, but also external students from the local ecosystem, the Summer School is a unique opportunity to meet high-level speakers, industry and public representatives in a friendly atmosphere.
During these two weeks, they work in a collective and concrete manner on an innovative project with the objective of addressing the common issues cities could face nowadays. Cities where most of the the world’s population lives today face numerous issues, such as environment preservation, energy and water supply, waste management, security or health
hazards of their inhabitants.

This 'experimental' Summer School will be focused on concrete business cases elaborated in close partnership with Rennes Métropole. A multidisciplinary approach is promoted with the use of data analytics, design, urbanism and social sciences. The goal is to address the issue of the city, its territory and inhabitants as best as possible.
