Professor David Alis, President

Elected in March 2016, Professor David Alis is the current president of Université de Rennes 1.

Professor David Alis was elected president of Université de Rennes 1 on 26th March 2016 after having been first vice-president of the governing board from 2008 until 2012, and in charge of human resources since 2012. Appointed at the IGR-IAE Graduate School of Management in Rennes in 1998, he became a professor in management in 2001 and was also appointed President of the IGR's Scientific Council from 2001 to 2004 and Director of the school from 2004 to 2008.

David Alis holds a PhD degree and an agrégation in Management Sciences. He is a researcher at the research centre in economics and management (CREM, CNRS) focusing on the development of flexibility in organisations.

In addition to his presidency, David Alis participates in various councils: he is a Board member of AGRH (a francophone network for human resources management) and a member of the French Society of Management. He is also involved as scientific committee member of scientific reviews, such as: Personal Review, Finance-Contrôle-Stratégie (FCS) and Management et Avenir.

David Alis was awarded Knight of the Order of Academic Palms.
