In the context of the Magistère degree in French-British Business Law, which will soon be celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Faculty of Law and Political Science, at the invitation of Professor Catherine Barreau, was pleased to welcome Dr Frédéric Rolland, Director of the LLB in English Law and French Law/Master 1 (Maîtrise en droit) this November.
This year, 17 students from Exeter are doing a Master's degree in European Law or Private Law at Université de Rennes 1 and 24 students from Rennes are studying at the University of Exeter.
Two meetings were held. The first was with students from the University of Exeter on an exchange programme in France in the context of their double degree. This meeting, in the presence of academic and administrative staff from the faculty, was the opportunity to see if their exchange programme was progressing well.
The second took place the following day and was intended for French students of the Magistère JAFB. During this information session, students could ask any questions they had, and were given information about cultural differences and campus life.
During this visit, Dr Rolland gave a presentation for students at the Faculty of Law on the Foundations and Evolution of British Constitutional Law.
