Rennes comes 3rd in the magazine L'Etudiant's Student City Rankings 2017/18

Each year, the magazine L'Etudiant ranks French cities according to their attractiveness for students. Criteria ranges from the public transport system to employment opportunities and even includes how much sunshine the city gets!

This year, Rennes and Montpellier share 3rd position, with Lyon in the 1st position and Grenoble and Toulouse sharing 2nd place. The L'Etudiant Student City Rankings include 44 French cities and cover 5 main themes:

  • Quality of life
  • Employment

Rennes proves to be a dynamic city, with a large student population and a wide range of high quality training. Student accomodation which is readily available and remains affordable and employment figures are good. Local initiatives, such as welcome events and culture passes make Rennes an attractive city for students.

Rennes may not be as sunny as some of the cities in the rankings, but it certainly offers its students a warm welcome!
