Taiwan and Université de Rennes 1
Université de Rennes 1 has a longstanding relationship with Taiwan, and in particular with the National Taiwan University with whom the university signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in 2001. Thanks to this agreement, there has been regular and reciprocal mobility in law, economics, management and philosophy.
Université de Rennes 1 has been part of the International Research Network Nano and Micro Systems (NAMIS) since 2012 along with the National Tsing Hua University. In 2016, Professor Jean-Yves Saillard received the Franco-Taiwanese Science Foundation prize together with his colleague from the National Dong Hwa University, Professor Chen-Wei Liu, for their collaboration in the field of chemistry and the physical chemistry of clusters.
